Health Impact Assessment Workshop

As part of the Galveston Health Impact Assessment Project, staff from CEHD and Georgia State University conducted a workshop for Galveston community members. This workshop walked community members through the steps of a Health Impact Assessment (HIA) using an interactive presentation and discussion. The workshop prepared a group of community leaders to become an informed and active Community Steering Committee that gives direction and feedback on the study.

Below, Beth and Holly from the Georgia Health Policy Center
lay the groundwork for understanding the HIA process.

Community members discuss how unique aspects of Galveston
might be taken into account in the HIA.

Lexi emcees a discussion on the finer points of housing and health.
