 General Guidelines

Submission Requirements and Acceptance
   Conference Theme-Surfing the Waves of EBP:
      Advancing Practice, Transforming Care, Cultivating
      Innovation.
Abstracts addressing EBP knowledge/skills
     development
(learning EBP)->to changing practice and
     patient care delivery
(launching EBP)->to promoting
     innovation and monitoring outcomes
(leading EBP) are
     invited.

1. Abstract may be submitted for poster or oral
    presentation. Only EBP projects with demonstrable
    outcome/s may be submitted for oral  presentation.

2. Opportunities for oral presentation: Share your victories
   on the following topics: (Launching Track)
   developing EBP tools for practice (
Session 2-B)

   employing EBP in Quality Improvement (
Session 4-B)

   embedding EBP in nursing systems (Session 6-B)
 

3. Oral presentations will be restricted to 20 minutes
   followed by 10 minutes question and answer.

4. All communication will be directed to the primary author only.

 

1. Submit the ABSTRACT by completing the the online
    submission form
(CLICK HERE) by midnight Central
    Time on:
    1.1. November 15, 2012 = for oral presentation
     1.2. January 31, 2013 = for poster presentation

2. The primary author will be notified via email of
    acceptance on or before:
    2.1. November 30, 2012 for oral presentation
    2.2. February 1, 2013 for poster presentation
   
Acceptance of the abstract will be conditional
       upon registration by the primary presenter.    

3. The abstract should not be more than 300 words,
    including bibliography.  

4. Two (2) measurable learner objectives should
    be identified (each limited to 25 words).  

5.  Presenters are responsible for setting up and
    taking down posters at designated times. 
     Construct posters to fit a 4' x 6' (1.2 x 1.8m)
        freestanding display board.      

6. Accepted abstracts will be published on the
    Conference web site.
