Support provided by the GCRC grant must be acknowledged in publications. This is important not only for continued funding of our GCRC, but also for continued support of the national GCRC Program by the US Congress.

The following statement should be used for the acknowledgement and incorporated when manuscripts are being prepared:

"This study was conducted on the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC) at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston funded by a grant M01RR00073 from the National Center for Research Resources, NIH, USPHS.”

If a study was partially supported by the GCRC, as would be the case for computer-only or ancillary-only protocols, the acknowledgement may be modified appropriately, such as:

“This study was supported in part by the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC) at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston funded by a grant M01RR00073 from the National Center for Research Resources, NIH, USPHS.”
