Remote Access

UTMB requires a secure method of transmitting or receiving data for any user wishing to connect to computing resources from off-campus. Traveling faculty, staff, and students, as well as those located at home, can connect to the UTMB network with MyVPN.

MyVPN

MyVPN allows you to access campus applications and network services protected behind the UTMB firewall. “Network Connect” is used by devices running Windows, Mac OS X, or other operating systems like Linux. Junos Pulse is used by smart phones and tablets.

• Workstations: If not already installed laptops and desktops should automatically download “network connect” when you login.

To get MyVPN access, you must first apply through your Trusted Requestor to ITIM – IBM TIVOLI Identity Management.
