Personal Overview

Dr. St. Clair has been with UTMB since 2007. She is Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She sees patients in her Angleton clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays and in her Texas City clinic on Wednesdays and Thursdays. In her Texas City clinic she sees primarily patients with thyroid conditions and has the ability to perform in-office thyroid ultrasound exams as well as ultrasound guided fine need aspirations (FNA) of thyroid nodules and cysts. She also performs neck ultrasound for thyroid cancer surveillance. In her Angleton clinic she sees the full spectrum of endocrinology disorders including diabetes and has a special interest in insulin pumps. For patients with diabetes, the Angleton clinic offers point of care testing for Hemoglobin A1c and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM). Two months of the year, Dr. St. Clair oversees the inpatient Endocrinology consult service at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston in addition to her regular clinic schedule.

Dr. St. Clair thoroughly enjoys teaching and occasionally works with fellows, residents, and medical students in her clinics. She is a member of The Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). She is married and has a daughter. In her spare time she enjoys water skiing, jet skiing, and gardening. Dr. St. Clair is also a Major in the US Air Force Reserves.

The department of internal medicine is developing evidence based clinical protocols which will be available in EPIC (as order sets) for use when admitting patients with these diagnoses. Their AIM is to standardize care and decrease length of stay and readmission rates.
