Overview
Dr. Ahmed Morsy is a board certified Physician and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine. He received his M.D. degree from The Alexandria University School of Medicine, Alexandria Egypt with honors and completed his U.S. residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa-Des Moines.
During his residency he was team leader of the Quality Improvement Project and member of the curriculum committee for the residency program.
Dr. Morsy special interest is Diabetes and Metabolism, resident /intern teaching and In-Patient Medicine Consult Services.
He is currently working as a hospitalist which not only allows him time to focus on acute patient issues but works closely with the medical students and residents to help educate many of our future doctors and specialist.

The department of internal medicine is developing evidence based clinical protocols which will be available in EPIC (as order sets) for use when admitting patients with these diagnoses. Their AIM is to standardize care and decrease length of stay and readmission rates.
