Overview

After completing an Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Residency, Dr. Quach became faculty in the Division of General Medicine and has risen to the rank of associate professor. His clinical practice is focused on primary care medicine. Early in his career, Dr. Quach became involved with administration as a clinic medical director and associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at UTMB. His administrative interests expanded to include healthcare delivery systems and quality improvement. Eventually, he became director of quality management for the Internal Medicine Department. He joined the UTMB Health System administration in 2007 as assistant chief medical officer. Dr. Quach became chief medical officer for the UTMB Health System in 2009. In this role, he is responsible for leadership of medical staff affairs and coordination of clinical care for the institution.
