Overview
Dr. Vidal joined the Internal Medicine faculty group in 2004. She graduated as scholar in education, UTMB cohort 2005-2007 and has actively participated in resident's and medical student's education. From 2007 to 2010, Dr Vidal attended medical wards in both John Sealy Hospital and the TDJC hospital as a faculty hospitalist with the Hospital Medicine Group. During her time at UTMB she also has collaborated with the School of Medicine with the Practice of Medicine courses, Spanish track; and has held the position of Course Director for the Medicine Consult Service.
She currently is a faculty preceptor in the Daniel's Resident Clinic, and sees private patients with the Harborside Medical Group in our ambulatory clinics: UHC building and Texas City location.

The department of internal medicine is developing evidence based clinical protocols which will be available in EPIC (as order sets) for use when admitting patients with these diagnoses. Their AIM is to standardize care and decrease length of stay and readmission rates.
