Dr. Adeel Ahmad graduated from Medical School in 1999 from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan. He did his Internal Medicine Residency from University of North Dakota and his Nephrology Fellowship Training at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. Dr. Ahmad treats a wide variety of patient with Kidney Diseases ranging from Acute Kidney Failure to Kidney Transplant. His special interests include Academic Nephrology and Interventional Nephrology.

The department of internal medicine is developing evidence based clinical protocols which will be available in EPIC (as order sets) for use when admitting patients with these diagnoses. Their AIM is to standardize care and decrease length of stay and readmission rates.Currently available protocols are:

- MICU/CCU Admission Order Set
- Oral Analgesic Medicaitons
- Parenteral Opioids
- Sepsis, Adult ICU
