The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, Texas, is seeking a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, physician scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
The successful candidate should have a MD degree or equivalent and a satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified/eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The Division is interested in candidates with Master's degree in Health Services or Outcomes Research.
This position is 50% research and 50% clinical. Ideal candidates for this position should have demonstrated commitment to outcomes research through peer-reviewed publication and/or extramural funding. The Division has strong interest in outcomes research in COPD and has Joint Commission approved Advanced COPD program certification. Salary and benefits are negotiable and commensurate with experience.
