The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, in collaboration with the Health System, was designated as a COPD Center of Excellence by JCAHO. This is the first such Center designation in the state of Texas. Congratulations to Dr. Sharma and the Division for their excellent work.
The Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine welcomes Special Guest Middleton Lecturer, Dr. Michael K. Gould, Senior Research Scientist, Director for Health Services Research and Implementation Science Kaiser Permanente Southern California. Dr. Gould presented "Incidental Pulmonary Nodules: Fortuitous Finding or Iatrogenic Nuisance?" on Thursday, February 26, 2015.

Our current research focus is on improving care of critically ill patients, seamless transition of care for patients with chronic pulmonary diseases, asthma and lung cancer.
