1.6 Delivery of Food Trays

Purpose

Serviceware has never been the focus of disease transmission. This policy will describe the delivery of food to all hospitalized patients.

Audience

All those who work with patient food trays

Policy

• All patient food may be delivered on standard issue serviceware.

• Patients on isolation or precautions (Airborne, Droplet, Modified Contact or Contact) will receive the same table service as other patients. Disposable food trays are not required.
