The Volunteer Registry 1-800-298-7015
Senior volunteers (age 55 and over) are invited to join the UTMB Center on Aging Volunteer Registry. The Registry is a list of people who have volunteered to take part in research studies on the health and well-being of older persons. By becoming a participant in aging research, you will have a chance to learn more about your own health and participate in studies you find interesting.

RSVP of Galveston County 409-266-9660
The RSVP Program supports volunteer projects throughout Galveston County. We match your interests with the needs of over 50 helping programs throughout the county. If you are 55 or older and have any time at all (no minimum to work), we can help match you with an organization that needs you.
Friends of the ACE Unit 409-266-9682
People of all ages are invited to become a Friend of the ACE Unit, the 20-bed Acute Care for the Elderly Unit on the 10th floor of John Sealy Hospital. Volunteers make a world of difference in the constellation of care for the elderly, especially to be present, to listen, read, and play games, music or other creative activities. Friends will be provided training, continuing education and Friends Celebrations in gratitude for their service.
