Federal Work Study (FWS) Positions

Federal Work Study is a federal financial aid program available to UTMB students that have completed the financial aid award process and have been awarded FWS on their financial aid award letter.You can contact Enrollment Services if you are unsure if you have been awarded FWS.

Student Activities Assistants
base pay: $17.98
Assist in planning, coordination, and possible facilitation of student activities. Projects may include, but are not limited to, Welcome Weekend, community service event planning, health related activities, diversity activitues and other special programsas determined by the manager. Computer knowledge, typing and organizational skills are needed.

Intramural Assistants
base pay: $17.98
Will assist in managing student government run games played at UTMB Field House and at the UTMB sports fields. The primary respomnsibilities will be checking in players at the games and supervising intramural games both out at the fields and in the field house. Will also assist with any other duties related to intramural sports as determined by the Student Life Coordinator.

Photographer/Videographer
base pay: $11.27
Take photographs and/or videos of student and other university related events using a digital still camera or a video camera. Some events will be in the evenings and on weekends. Download images in a timely manner. The ability to learn how to operate the cameras and compose photographs is required.

Jamail Student Center Attendants
base pay: $11.27
Manage and maintain the game room, computer area and common areas in the Lee Hage Jamail Student Center outside of the Office of Student Life's normal business hours. Will also control the checking out and in of video game consoles and games. Will be available to assist students with gerneral questions. Should be conversant as well as being comfortable with MS Office software, web browsing and printer troubleshooting.

Publications and Communications Assistant
base pay: $11.27
Assist with Student Life communications and publications. Job duties may include, but are not limited to, yearbook publishing and related tasks, developing and distributing flyers, posters and announcements for upcoming events, maintaining Facebook and Collegiate Link pages and posting items to the Exhibio TV system.
