Sundeep Mattamana, Associate Director for Technology Transfer joined the Office of Technology Transfer at UTMB in 2004. He is responsible for evaluating Invention disclosures, marketing and negotiating license agreements and assisting in the formation of startups. Prior to joining OTT, he worked as the Chief Market Research Analyst for Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company in Bethesda, MD. His main role was conducting primary and secondary marketing research on products in the pipeline, and providing support to licensing and business development activities. Sundeep holds a Ph.D in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park and a MBA in Marketing and Information Technology from the University of Delaware.
Frances Streeter, JD

Frances Streeter is a licensed attorney for the States of Texas, Tennessee and Arkansas, and is also a registered patent attorney. Frances is responsible for handling UTMB's intellectual property issues regarding sponsored research, material transfers, non disclosures, non-exclusive licenses, copyright assignments and publication, trademarks, copyrights, and collaboration contracts. For more than six years, she has been the university's export control representative. She handles UTMB's export issues and conducts regular trainings and presentations on export controls. Mrs. Streeter is also the Chair of UTMB's Export Control Compliance Committee.
Dana Buschmann, JD

Dana Buschmann is an attorney specializing in intellectual property management strategies, and more specifically, patent procurement. After obtaining a BA in Biochemistry from Rice University and a JD from Duke University School of Law, she was employed in private practice in Washington DC where she represented start-up companies, academic institutions, as well as some of the world's largest generic drug manufacturers. Her work focuses primarily on the life sciences industry including small molecule pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices. Dana lives with her husband on Galveston Island.
Matt Grove, JD

Matt Grove joined the Office of Technology Transfer in January of 2011. Prior to joining the OTT, Matt worked as a law clerk for Legal Affairs at UTMB. Matt is a licensed attorney for the State of Texas. Matt earned a BS in Political Science from Texas A&M University and a JD from South Texas College of Law. Matt's responsibilities include handling all incoming and outgoing material transfer agreements, as well as confidential disclosure agreements.
Edward Woods

Ed Woods joined Office of Technology Transfer in July 2011. He brings with him a total of nine years at UTMB serving in various Budget/Financial functions. Prior to joining UTMB, Ed worked in the banking industry for ten years. He has over twenty years experience in the Financial Services field. As the Business Manager for OTT, he is responsible for Sponsored Research Agreement invoice billing and reconciliation, and processing payments and invoices related to Royalties, MTA's, and License Agreements.
