Jacques G. Baillargeon, PhD

Dr. Jacques G. Baillargeon is an associate professor in the UTMB Department of Preventive Medicine and Community Health. He also serves as director of UTMB Community Health Services’ Division of Epidemiology. Jacques received an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Texas at Austin and a doctorate in epidemiology from UTMB. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical epidemiology at UTMB, he joined the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He returned to UTMB in September of 2006. 

Dr. Baillargeon’s research interests include correctional health care, HIV, psychiatric epidemiology, cancer epidemiology, and epidemiologic methods. He is the recipient of numerous research grants, including awards from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Justice.
