shown during The White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) White House Compassion in Action Roundtable, "Expanding the Substance Abuse Treatment Paradigm: Faith-Based and Community Partnerships Toward Recovery Support." How Meth Destroys the Body

What makes methamphetamine such an attractive high? Meth users report that after taking the drug they experience a sudden "rush" of pleasure or a prolonged sense of euphoria, as well as increased energy, focus, confidence, sexual prowess and feelings of desirability. However, after that first try, users require more and more of the drug to get that feeling again, and maintain it. With repeated use, methamphetamine exacts a toll on the mind and body, robbing users of their physical health and cognitive abilities, their libido and good looks, and their ability to experience pleasure. Here's how the body reacts to meth and the consequences of long-term abuse.

MEDFELS (Meth Education for Elementary Schools)
This web site was developed in conjunction with a grant to develop and implement a drug education program that assists third and fourth grade teachers in presenting an accurate portrayal of the dangers associated with the manufacture, distribution and use of Methamphetamine. 

Meth Education Tool Kit
The Meth Education Tool Kit was developed and produced by: Putnam County Health Department; 13th Judicial District Drug Task Force; and Tennessee Tech University's BusinessMedia Center. The production was funded through a federal grant for the 6th Congressional District.
