Schedule
The following schedule is an example of a typical resident's schedule during the first few months of the residency program. Though schedules are arranged in advance, adjustments to rotations and appointments invariably occur in response to new opportunities and project needs as they arise.
Travel
The Administrative Resident will travel when necessary with the preceptor to rotations, interviews and continuing education. Examples include:
- Chicago
for ACHE Congress
- Austin for the Texas Hospital Association
- Houston for various ACHE Chapter activities
- Various
locations for preceptor conference and student interviews:
- Trinity University (San Antonio, TX)
- Texas State (San Marcos, TX)
- University of Alabama at Birmingham
- Rotations through Austin’s Women’s Hospital and other off-island clinics
