Description: Students on rotation in Beaumont, Silsbee, and Port Arthur are housed at the St. Paul's United Methodist parsonage. The parsonage is a three- bedroom home located near the Lamar University campus. It has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a living area, study area, kitchen and dining area. A full size washer and dryer are also provided. Local television and local phone service are provided.

Description: Housing in Childress is provided by a former doctor of Childres Regional Medical Center. The private single bedroom home has a living area, bathroom and full kitchen. The house is located about 5 minutes from the hospital and clinics. This house is continuously used and appreciated by many medical students.
Furniture: The bedroom consists of a queen size bed, night stand and dresser. The living area has a sofa, two recliners, coffee table and TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, stove and oven. There is also a large pantry and a kitchen table with chairs.

Description: Students on rotation in Liberty, Dayton and Cleveland are housed at Pine Hollow Apartments. The unit has two bedrooms (3 single beds total), two baths, a living room, and a kitchen with a microwave. There is also a TV with local service. The apartment complex has a swimming pool.

Description: Students will live in dorm-like rooms consisting of 1-2 beds. Each room has its own private bathroom. Roommates may be added during your stay if space permits. There is a phone outside your rooms, but no answering machine can be used. The phone number is available upon request from Frances Liendo. Also, all rooms are cable-ready.
Students may eat lunch and supper at the hospital cafeteria, but plans must be made in advance for meals. There is a kitchen area downstairs that may be used for cooking. A washer and dryer are also available for student use. Housekeeping will change the sheets and towels weekly.

Furniture: The rooms are furnished with a desk, bed(s), and chest of drawers.
Students will need to bring items such as:

Description: Students will be staying at the Belle-Jim Hotel. This Bed and Breakfast is located in downtown Jasper (directions provided separately). It is located less than three miles from the hospital.
Residents can buy breakfast each morning for a nominal fee. The hotel is also open for lunch to the public. The food is excellent.
Note: The Belle-Jim has been home to a number of medical students, physician assistants and residents since 1995, having been very complimentary of the hotelĄ¯s atmosphere, service and friendliness.
Furniture: The hotel, built in 1910, has eight rooms that are completely furnished and include a television. There is a cordless telephone in the hotel that you are welcome to use. However, you will need to bring a calling card for long distance.
The Belle-Jim has a microwave you can use, and depending upon availability, a small refrigerator for your room.

Description: Apartment housing available in Longview. This two bedroom, two bath program is set up to accomdate up to four studnets. It is located approximately 3 miles from most preceptor locations in the Longview area.
Furniture: The apartement is furnished with two twin beds in each bedroom with chest of drawers, nightstands, and lamps.Kitchen furnished with basic cookware, crockery and cutlery, microwave, oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffeepot, and basic cleaning supplies
Phone for incoming and outgoing (local only) calls. Also furnished with couch and end table, dining table and chairs, and study desk. Apartment complex has a small workout room, pool, and an on-site laundry. The unit is NOT furnished with a television or cable access.

Nacogdoches: Nacogdoches housing

Description: Nacogdoches housing is provided at Whisper Oaks Apartments. Students will live in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment. Each bedroom contains one or two twin beds with no more than three students to each apartment.
Furniture: The apartment is fully furnished. Each room has a desk, chest of drawers, closet and bed. There is also a TV and VCR in each apartment but cable is not provided. Students will have to arrange for cable at their own expense if desired. Also included in the apartment are a microwave, fully furnished kitchen with utensils, dining room table and chairs, telephone, couch, toaster, vacuum, iron/ironing board, alarm clocks, wastebaskets, and portable fans.

Students need to bring (if desired): Bed sheets, pillows, blankets, stereo, computer, bath towels, wash cloths, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, bath soap, hand soap, and any other personal items or appliances.

Description: Housing in Plainview is located at Covenant Hospital. The private room offers a queen size bed, closet, dresser, refrigerator and a bathroom. You will receive a key to your room and are typically provided meals through the cafeteria provided you have your ID.
Furniture: The room has a queen size bed and linens will be provided. There is also a chest of drawers, a desk and chair, an outlet for a computer or TV and a wastebasket. You may want to bring your own computer, stereo, calendar, extra blankets and pillows as well as bath towels, wash cloths and a bath mat.

Description: Tyler housing for students on rotation with the Family Medicine Clinic at UTHCT only. Rotations must occur between June and December. Students conducting other rotations in Tyler may stay in the apartment in Longview and commute between the two cities. The commute is approximately 30 miles.
Furniture: Efficiency units on the UTHCT campus are furnished with two twin beds, a couch, two desks, a television, two nightstands, a telephone, and a coffee table. Kitchen area varies from unit to unit. Most units are equiped with a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink.

Description: Students will live in a two bedroom apartment. Each bedroom contains a queen and a twin bed, or two twin beds. There may be up to two students per room. Each apartment has two bathrooms, in which students will be sharing. Roommates may be added during your stay if the apartment is not fully occupied.
Furniture: The apartments are fully furnished. Each room will be furnished with beds, a desk, and a chest of drawers or dresser.

Description: Students on rotation in Lake Jackson, Bay City, and West Columbia are housed in Reveille House which has three bedrooms, one bath, and a common living/kitchen space.
