Dr. Ronald S. Levy holds a primary appointment as a Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and a joint appointment as a Professor in the Division of Anatomy in the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology. He is also the Director of the Human Patient Simulation Center at UTMB.
Dr. Levy has been at the forefront in the University employing immersive educational techniques to train both undergraduate and graduate medical students. Utilizing high and medium fidelity mannequins, Dr. Levy has developed and taught courses ranging from anesthesia crisis management to difficult airway management to managing patients in distress for medical students where the students can practice in an environment which is safe and where patients are not put at risk. Dr. Levy’s research interests center around reducing medical errors and learning styles in medical education.
