Who Can Apply

Thank you for visiting the UTMB Academy of Master Teachers

On May 24th, 2007 after 2 years of planning and implementation, the Academy inducted 18 members to it's inaugural class. Today, 48 members work within 6 service teams to recognize outstanding achievements of UTMB faculty and to provide assistance to Junior Faculty.

In addition to grand rounds, the AMT produces two major events annually. The spring Education Symposium highlights the achievements of UTMB faculty while the fall Faculty Development Day provides training workshops and seminars to further develop teaching skills.

The AMT also is proud to have funded three categories of educational grants for travel, pilot projects, and Junior Faculty development.
