Retirement Plans





In addition to the mandatory participation in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) or the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) eligible employees are provided voluntary programs to assist them in saving for retirement. To learn more about the mandatory and voluntary retirement programs, Tax-Sheltered Annuity Program 403(b) (UTSaver TSA) or the Deferred Compensation Plan 457(b) (UTSaver DCP) click the Retirement Programs icon to view more details.

 

 




Click this icon to view UTMB's qualified retirement Vendors with Representative information where you can invest your ORP, UTSaver TSA and UTSaver DCP contributions. Depending on your investment and service needs your selection may vary across one or all six.
 

 


 

To enroll in the Optional Retirement Program, UTSaver TSA and/or UTSaver DCP you must follow these simple steps after logging onto University Texas Retirement Manager (UTRM):
1. Review Retirement Programs at a glance and select a plan
2. First time users, please click here - otherwise log onto UTRM. (Please use your employee id number as the "Employee Unique ID:" and your established password)
3. Click on the Enroll/Make Changes Tab (A contribution limit calculation is recommended for the UTSaver TSA enrollees, contact your Benefits Office).
4. Follow the instructions on the Enroll/Change screen.
5. You must select a provider from the list of approved Providers, complete their applications and follow their enrollment instructions to set up an account.
6. Return the completed applications and beneficiary forms directly to the Provider. Contributions deducted from your paycheck are only applied to elected approved providers, if the aforementioned steps were adhered to.
