After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1982 with an M.S. in Microbiology, I began working in the Pathology Department at UTMB. After six years in the Department, I joined the Dept. of Microbiology where I spent the next three years, all the while teaching microbiology to nursing students at The College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas. I then joined the Protein Chemistry Core Lab which has been my professional home since 1989.

In 1983, I married Naomi . We have two children ... Christopher and Courtney.

Although I don't seem to have much time for fishing and camping lately, they are still some of my favorite pastimes. I also am assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America for Troop 696 in Dickinson, Texas.
