League for the Hard of Hearing www.lhh.org
The League's Mission is to improve the quality of life for people with all degrees of hearing loss. This is accomplished by providing hearing rehabilitation and human service programs for people who are hard of hearing and deaf, and their families, regardless of age or mode of communication. The League strives to empower consumers and professionals to achieve their potential and to provide leadership to, and be the model for, disciplines that relate to hearing rehabilitation. The League promotes hearing conservation as well as public education about hearing.

National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) www.nidcd.nih.gov
The NIDCD is a government site from the National Institutes of Health and offers information on hearing loss, communication disorders, as well as research in these areas. The site is designed for consumers as well as hearing healthcare professionals.

The Audiology Awareness Campaign www.audiologyawareness.com
The Audiology Awareness Campaign is organized by audiologists to inform the public about "audiologists", the professionals academically trained to provide quality hearing health care. At this site you can take an online "hearing test", read patient friendly brochures on hearing loss and hearing aids, find out what is an Audiologist, post a question on our Question and Answer Board, and even find an Audiologist in your area who can further answer your questions and give you help.
