Maria P. Nguyen, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Maria P. Nguyen joined UTMB Pediatric Associates in 2001. Dr. Nguyen completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston after earning her doctor of medicine from Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of California at Irvine, one in biology and one in psychology. Dr. Nguyen is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Nguyen has special interests in asthma and adolescence. She volunteers for the St. Vincent’s Pediatric Clinic, which provides free medical care for indigent patients in Galveston. Additionally, she volunteers for the National Asian American Association of Professionals and Vietnamese-American Community Health Network. She is bilingual in English and Vietnamese.
