| Kathrym España, M.D.
Dr. Kathrym España joined UTMB in August 2007 after finishing her residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston were she also attended Medical School . She received her bachelor's at the University of Texas at Austin in Theatre and Dance. As Assistant Professor in Pediatrics, Dr. España is primarily in the clinical setting and enjoys teaching both medical students and residents. She enjoys all aspects of pediatrics but is particularly interested in educating new mothers about caring for their infant and promoting breastfeeding. Besides medicine her other passion is dancing. She has been a member of Tapestry Dance Company and UT POM squad in Austin, as well as The Houston Metropolitan Dance Company. She also taught dance classes during college and medical school to both adult and children. Dr. España is originally from Caracas, Venezuela and speaks Spanish fluently. |
