Dr. Michael Binder joined UTMB Pediatric Associates in 1998 after completing a residency in pediatrics with the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He earned his medical degree from Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dallas. Dr. Binder is board-certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

As Assistant Professor in Pediatrics, Dr. Binder’s responsibilities are primarily in the clinical setting. Dr. Binder is involved in direct patient care and student and resident teaching. He enjoys all aspects of Pediatrics and is especially interested in Sports Medicine and Infectious Disease. He is an active member in community projects and president of the local chapter of Bay Area Pediatrics Society.

Dr. Binder and his wife’s son have inspired him to have a new interest and insight in Developmental Pediatrics.
