Karen Hansen, M.D.

Dr. Karen Hansen joined UTMB Family HealthCare Center in Galveston in 1992. She is an assistant professor for the Department of General Internal Medicine. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Hansen completed a residency in Internal Medicine at UTMB. She received her medical degree from UTMB and her master of science degree from Louisiana State University and her bachelor degree from Iowa State University.

She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Galveston County Medical Association. Dr. Hansen has a special interest in preventive medicine and health maintenance.
