UTMB Global Health Training Program The CEHD is working with the UTMB WHO /PAHO Collaborating Center for Training in International Health (CTIH) and the Institute for Human Infections and Immunity (IHII) to develop a Global Health Program at UTMB. The program is structured around key educational principles including inter-professional training, service-learning, inter-disciplinary training, and values-based learning environments. The Program will provide global health training for students at all four UTMB schools through courses, international and domestic field training, and other activities. Led by the CTIH, the program is linking with other health professions schools in the UT System to develop a cross-campus training initiative that stretches across Texas and beyond. Dr. Nolen, Acting Director of the Center to Eliminate Health Disparities, is also Associate Director of the Center for Training in International Health.
