CIRWH issues call for poster abstracts

All UTMB investigators who have research relevant to women’s health are invited to participate in a poster session on Tuesday, April 22, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Levin Hall Dining Room.

This event will showcase women’s health research being conducted at UTMB, provide a venue for researchers to interact and discuss their data and interests, and reward excellence in research by our trainees.

There will be first, second, and third prizes of $300, $200, and $100 for the posters selected best by a panel of judges in each of the categories of clinical, basic, and translational science.

Students, residents, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty (including instructor and assistant professor level) are eligible for awards, and must be the first author and presenter of the poster. The poster does not need to be new research, but can present previously published material.

Please submit abstracts as attachments to an email message to Sarah Enticknap at sjentick@utmb.edu by Friday, March 28. Please insert the presenter’s name in the subject field and be sure to indicate in which category you wish to have the poster entered if eligible for prizes. Abstracts should be no more than 350 words. Click here for an abstract form.

Posters may be set up between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on April 22. Presenters must stand by their posters while judging takes place between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.
