Legal Affairs

The Department of Legal Affairs is responsible for providing legal services to UTMB departments and administration in the following areas specifically as they related to UTMB.

• Contracts and agreements
• Employment law
• Legal research and legislation
• Student and faculty matters
• Medical liability and claims
• Health law

In addition, the department provides litigation coordination with the UT System Office of General Counsel, Office of the Attorney General, and outside counsel.
