By replenishing Vitamin C to the skin, the treatments help regenerate epidermal cell structure of the skin, increasing its elasticity and collagen generation. The epidermis grows back thicker and smoother as a result.

Q: How many treatments are required?
A: The best results are achieved after three or more treatments, with major results visible after the fifth procedure. Treatments are generally spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart for optimal results.

Q: Will I experience any discomfort with treatment?
A: Generally, patients report a mild scratching sensation as the crystals come into contact with the skin. As the treatments continue, the mild scratching sensation is generally replaced with a feeling comparable to a deep massage. You may have mild redness for half an hour to a day after the treatment.

Q: How do I prepare for the procedure?
A: Patients are generally asked to refrain from using retinols, Retin A and any other active skin care products 2 to 3 days prior to and after the treatment.

Q: How much time is required to perform the procedure?
A: A typical facial treatment may last between 20 and 30 minutes.

Q: Where can I find more information on this topic?
A: Additional information is available by contacting one of our technicians at (409) 772-7364 between 8:00-9:00 Mon-Thursday, or 3:30-4:30 Mon/Wed/Fri.
