In addition to assisting in faculty clinics and his/her own resident continuity clinic, each resident’s experience will include the following specialty rotations:

Electives 

                    
Third year residents may enroll in a two-week off-campus elective that will enable them to acquire skills not offered by the UTMB Dermatology Residency Program.  After completing the off-campus elective, senior residents must make a departmental presentation about their experience.

Houston Dermatological Society (monthly, attended by all residents)

Texas Dermatological Society (twice-annually, attended by first-year residents)

American Academy of Dermatology (annually, attended by all residents except one rotating first and second year resident)

Dermatology Foundation Conference

In addition, every 3rd-year resident may attend a meeting of their choice

Residents are encouraged to submit abstracts and/or presentations to all meetings attended.
