The events hosted and celebrated during the launch of Common Threads, July 28-Aug. 1, 2003, were a great success. The reason was twofold: 1) The activities were embraced by a campus community and by participants who understand and value the importance of diversity; and 2) Many people worked hard, shared of their time and talent, to make the events work.
