Introduction:

This class is designed for lay rescuers and unlicensed healthcare professionals that have never had a formal CPR class and for those renewing their CPR cards and feel the need to practice all of the skills prior to testing or for non-licensed personnel. This class allows for the maximum amount of practice and some 1 on 1 instruction. At the successful completion of this class you will either receive an AHA Healthcare Provider Card (upon successful completion of the written test) or an AHA Heartsaver Card.

Registration and Cost:

You may register for this class over the phone by contacting us at (409) 772-2823 or come by the lab in person. The fee for this class is $25 per person payable on the day of the class. The fee is waived for UTMB hospital employees and  their immediate family members.

Before coming to class you also need to complete the CPR pretest. This pretest is in our CPR packet which is a good review. This packet however is not a substitution for the recommended CPR textbook. This packet is in Adobe format & Adobe Reader is needed to read it.

You can download this packet by clicking on the following: CPR Guide & Pretest

It is recommended that the healthcare provider have the following book in their reference library.
