The purpose of the Radiation Safety Program at UTMB is to provide consultation and guidance to ensure a safe working environment
in diagnostic, medical, and research arenas.

Training

Basic Radiation Safety in the Laboratory is now computer based. To register or inquire please contact Debra Harper, 772-2272.

Dosimeter Orientation is given on Tuesday and Friday at 8:30am at 1302 Mechanic St., Suite 2.112. Contact David Hernandez, 772-1964.

Laser Safety Training & X-ray Safety Training are provided on an as needed basis. Please contact David Smith to schedule either, 772-1348.

Radiation Safety Refresher is offered the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the Basic Science Auditorium. Contact David Smith, 772-1348.
