Graduate Assistantships
Each applicant admitted to the graduate school is considered for available assistantships. Application for appointment
as a graduate assistant is made to the student's graduate program director.
There are several important stipulations to the graduate assistantship that the applicant should bear in mind:
- The applicant must posses full-time, degree-seeking status.
- Graduate Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis. Award decisions are usually made in early Spring.
- State-funded assistantships are awarded to Ph.D. students only in programs offering the Ph.D. degree.
McLaughlin Fellowship (M, G)
Graduate or medical students pursuing the study of infectious diseases or immunological research, or both, may
request applications and information from McLaughlin Fellowship Office, 2.236 Gail Borden, Route 0665.
- One year prior enrollment in the graduate or medical program.
- A faculty mentor.
- Relevant research project.
