Graduate Assistantships

Each applicant admitted to the graduate school is considered for available assistantships. Application for appointment as a graduate assistant is made to the student's graduate program director.

There are several important stipulations to the graduate assistantship that the applicant should bear in mind:

  1. The applicant must posses full-time, degree-seeking status.
  2. Graduate Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis. Award decisions are usually made in early Spring.
  3. State-funded assistantships are awarded to Ph.D. students only in programs offering the Ph.D. degree.
