VICE PRESIDENT FOR EDUCATION’S REPORT
OFFICE OF INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS – J. McKee
·
UTMB has received notice from the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) acknowledging our notification of
internal, UY System and THECB approval of four new master’s degree programs in
the School of Health Professions and a new doctoral program in the Graduate
School of Biomedical Sciences. This brings to a successful close the
regulatory approval process for these new programs.
·
SACS has also issued a letter that specifically
includes our certificate programs within the scope of our accreditation.
Normally, SACS considers certificate programs in disciplines where the
institution already offers a baccalaureate or post-graduate degree to be within
the scope of the institutions accreditation.
