Helping Hands Fund

Often, our hospitals and clinics serve as a health care “safety net” for uninsured patients whose needs are great but whose resources are limited. But the hundreds of millions of dollars worth of specialty medical care we provide can’t cover certain personal needs that must be met before a patient can return home—a pair of shoes for someone who came to us barefoot in an ambulance; a supply of portable oxygen to ease a patient’s breathing; a night’s stay at a local motel for the family of a patient who’s had to travel hundreds of miles to seek care here. You can lend a hand by helping to create a permanent endowment to provide for these basic human needs that aren’t funded by government sources but are so vital to the healing process.

Gifts to the Helping Hands Fund will be matched 1:1 by a generous commitment from the Herzog Foundation.
