About Us...
The Accounting department provides information and resources to assist UTMB departments with understanding and recording financial transactions and ledger maintenance, i.e. setting up new chart field strings, etc. The department assists internal and external auditors with information requests as well as monitors internal control initiatives, mainly business cycles and reconciliations. Accounting also manages and records State appropriations.
The mission of Accounting is to provide accurate and timely financial information, guidance, and service related to planning & budgeting, management of cash & appropriations, and account transactions to the customers we serve.
