2008 Year End and 2009 Tax Information

available again for 2008
 Three
years ago, UTMB began offering current employees the option of receiving
their annual federal “W-2” forms electronically; more than 8,000
individuals have signed up for the service. The speed and efficiency of
the electronic W-2s allows those that opt for electronic delivery to
securely receive their electronic W-2 earlier than they would receive
the W-2 on paper. If you are an employee who has already registered for
an eW-2, you DO NOT need to re-register; watch for news in January about
your form’s availability. If you didn’t register for 2008 but want to
try eW-2 this year, you can sign up at the
eW-2 web site. If you are
not registered and do nothing, you’ll receive your W-2 on paper via the
United States Post Office postmarked no later than February 2, 2009.
Employees who are affected by the recent reduction in force at UTMB will
receive their W-2 by US mail at their home mailing address. Please
ensure this address is correct in UTMB’s records. Your address can be
updated online via the PeopleSoft Self Service application by going
here. If you haven’t signed up for Electronic W-2,
your W-2 form will be postmarked no later than February 2, 2009, per IRS
Regulations. Employees who are affected by the recent reduction in force
at UTMB will receive their W-2 by US mail at their home mailing address.
