 INPATIENT UNIT J5B

1. Thanksgiving:  The GCRC inpatient unit will be closed beginning Wednesday at 1900 through Sunday at 1900. 

2. Christmas/New Years:  The GCRC inpatient unit will be closed beginning  December 24 at 1200 through January 3 at 0700. (Christmas and New Years Holidays and GCRC annual retreat).

3. There will be no research nursing or dietary services available for inpatients during these times.  Investigators should plan their admissions and discharges accordingly.  Any subject that might normally be eligible for treatment as an inpatient for a GCRC research protocol will need to be admitted to a general hospital unit for standard medical care.

Outpatient nursing and dietary support can be provided during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holidays, if scheduled in advance before the holiday. If any investigator has a need to use the GCRC facilities or requires outpatient support during this time, we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

RESEARCH RETREAT

The GCRC will remain closed and all staff will be expected to attend.    No inpatient or outpatient services will be provided on this day.  The GCRC will be re-opened and fully operational beginning  January 3 at 0700.
