Julie Dial, M.A.
is a
Clinical Applied Exercise Physiologist and Disease Management Coordinator at
The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas. Ms. Dial received
her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in Curriculum and
Instruction specializing in Health and Psychology. She received her
Master's Degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Fitness and
Human Performance with a specialization in Health and Biology. Julie also
has specialty training in noninvasive cardiology and orthopedics from St.
Luke's Hospital. She helps provide health promotion education and
activities to UTMB employees, and is the director of Disease Management,
specializing in rehabilitating individuals with orthopedic, cardiac, and
other acute and chronic medical conditions. Dial also assists in developing
roles and responsibilities of research assistants and other employees,
coordinates study groups for various research allocation projects, directs
the internship program, as well as provides education and screening in areas
of health and lifestyle risks. This includes yearly guest lecturing to
medical, physician assistant, and physical therapy students. She currently
is a provider for the UTMB Wellness Continuum Clinical Treatment Team.
