Ryan Micks
Health Policy Research Coordinator
As Health Policy Research Coordinator, Ryan Micks analyzes health care policies to determine their effect on the University as well as local, state and national populations. Ryan is also responsible for the department’s legislative document production and legislative district mapping. He has a detailed understanding of the state legislative districts and UTMB’s impact upon them.
In his three years in the Office of Health Policy and Legislative Affairs, Ryan has focused his efforts on Community Outreach, Correctional Managed Care, and Legislative Affairs.
Ryan was born and raised on Galveston Island where he graduated from Ball High School in 2000. He went on to earn a BBA from Texas A&M University in College Station in 2003.
