Institutional Identity Advisory Board: Here for the health of UTMB’s
image
The 2001 launch of UTMB’s new logo and theme line was just the beginning of an ongoing process to create and maintain a strong, unified identity for the university and its many programs of excellence. The Institutional Identity Advisory Board is an important component of UTMB’s brand-management activities. The board comprises employees from throughout the university who were invited to serve by President John D. Stobo and the President’s Council. They work in concert with the institutional marketing and publications offices within Public Affairs to accomplish the following:
While the Public Affairs office has primary institutional responsibility for helping UTMB achieve a cohesive identity, no one department can maintain the identity alone. Every department and program on campus must be willing to accept and follow the standards, and the Institutional Identity Advisory Board is here to help in that regard. If you have a question or concern related to the identity system, please contact Mary Havard, director of publications, or Chris Packard, director of marketing, at (409) 772-2618. They can answer your question or, if warranted, place it on an upcoming the Identity Advisory Board agenda.
Institutional Identity Advisory Board Members of the Institutional Identity Advisory Board represent a broad range of UTMB departments and services. All are on the university’s global email list; they can also be reached by telephone.
