UTMB Color Palette for Print Publications

Color is an important graphic element that, when properly used, can effectively unite a family of publications. The colors used in UTMB print and electronic publications should reflect the university's strength and resilience.

The basic institutional color palette consists of the color scheme used in the logo:

  • PMS 288 (blue)
  • PMS 186 (red)
  • Black

Other colors can be used, particularly in two-color publications in which an accent color is needed. The following colors complement those of the institutional logo and are approved for use in university print publications.

Metallics:
  • PMS 877 (silver)
  • PMS 876 (copper/bronze)
  • PMS 873 (gold)
Solids:
  • PMS 288 (blue)
  • PMS 349 (green)
  • PMS 268 (purple)
  • PMS 159 (orange)
  • PMS 116 (yellow)
  • Warm Gray #5

A corresponding palette that takes into account the special considerations of electronic media exists for university web pages. Visit the UTMB Web Page Standards color palette.
