How do I check my email?
Answer: Exchange Web Mail is operational. You may login by navigating to http://webmail.utmb.edu.

How do I connect to the internal UTMB network?
Answer: Access to the internal UTMB network is obtained via MyVPN. Go to http://myvpn.utmb.edu and login with your email username and password.

Do I need special software to use MyVPN?
Answer: Yes. Navigate to http://myvpn.utmb.edu and login with your email username and password. You will be prompted to install the JuniperSetupSP1.cab ActiveX control. Right click on this message and allow the install. Then you will have to click Install once the ActiveX control starts installation. After the ActiveX control is installed, click Start to start the Network Connect. Once you are connected, a yellow lock will appear in your taskbar.
Note: All Staff have temporarily been given VPN access, if you do not have access please call Access Management at (409) 747-3900.

I received an email saying my password is about to expire. What do I do?
Answer: You don't have to do anything. All computer account passwords have been changed to 60 days. Please disregard all e-mail messages stating that your password is about to expire.

I forgot my password, how do I reset it?
Answer: Account Self Service is available via MyCitrix. Click on the yellow key.
Account Self Service is only available if you have already registered your answers to security questions through the Citrix Password Manager Agent. If you need assistance, please contact the service desk at (888) 898-2401

What is MyCitrix?
Answer: MyCitrix is a web portal that allows you to connect to applications that are published via Citrix. If you need to use a program, but it isn't installed on your home PC, you can login to MyCitrix and get access to the program. Some of the programs that are available: Microsoft Office, MyUTMB, Outlook, Online Training.
You do not need a VPN connection to use MyCitrix. MyCitrix will give you direct access to the software.

Do I need special software to use MyCitrix?
Answer: Yes. Navigate to http://mycitrix.utmb.edu/. If you don’t have the Citrix Web Client installed, you will get a message stating “We are unable to detect the appropriate client software on your computer to allow you to launch your applications.” If you get this message then click on the link that says, “click here to obtain the client software”. Then click on the Download button. The install should begin. After installation is complete, login using your email username and password.

How soon should I turn in my damaged equipment?
Answer: As soon as possible, we need to make an accurate list for the insurance company.

Do I need to retrieve my damaged equipment or will someone be sweeping the areas for inventory?
Answer: Contractor BMS CAT as part of their building clean out process have been taking all damaged and undamaged PC's and printers found on the first floors of UTMB buildings to the Information Services depot on the first floor of Rebecca Sealy.

I have been able to map my UTMB Home drive to my home computer via VPN. When I try to open Outlook, however, I get the following message:
You are attempting to open a file of type "Office data File" (.pst)
These files are used by the operating system and by various programs. Editing or modifying them could damage your system. If you still want to open the file, click Open With, otherwise, click Cancel.
What are my Next Steps to access Outlook and/or my folders?
Answer: PST files have to be opened with the Outlook client. PST's can not be opened by browsing to the location and simply clicking on the PST in an explorer window. In able to view a PST, the PST has to be attached within Outlook.
This is done by opening Outlook.

Data Files

Add
Select Office Outlook Personal Folders File (.pst)

Browse to the location of the PST's
Select the PST and apply
