Toni D'Agostino graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Medical Humanities on August 10, 2007. Toni is employed by UTMB in the department of Research Services. As Director of Sponsored Programs, she serves as the Institutional Official in all proposals and correspondence with external sponsors of research. Toni also works with UTMB leadership to develop programs that will assist faculty in finding and obtaining funding for their research projects. She also lectures on grantsmanship and compliance topics.

One piece of advice Toni has for IMH students whose thesis proposals have been accepted is, “Make a writing schedule and stick to it. This will alleviate a lot of the stress. You might have to become a hermit but the rewards afterward are worth it.”

Toni's most memorable experience while in the program was the wonderful, open discussions that were enabled by the small classes, the sincerity of the faculty, and the support from both faculty and staff of the IMH.
