Navigating from John Sealy Hospital to other clinical buildings around campus is now much easier for patients, visitors and employees with the opening of the remodeled John Sealy Hospital Lobby and new Concourse.

The Concourse Project, which involves renovating and reconfiguring 65,000 square feet of first-floor corridor space to connect John Sealy Hospital and six other medical buildings at UTMB, provides a patient-friendly crossroads to link many clinical care areas as well as the east and west side of campus.

It is now possible to walk from the new John Sealy Hospital lobby through the old Children’s Hospital to the University Hospital Clinics Building via a modernized concourse featuring energy-saving LED lighting.

Temporary walls will be in place along the Concourse as other phases of construction continue, with installation of furniture, signage and artwork at a future date.

Your patience is appreciated as the final stages of the project are completed.
