Professor and Chief,
Division of Endocrinology
The Stark Diabetes Center is based in our League City clinics and provides integrative patient care working closely with a variety of medical and surgical specialties involved in prevention of diabetes and its complications. Our faculty includes basic science researchers, clinician scientists and full-time clinicians dedicated to both patient care and teaching. Our faculty mentors includes many well-established investigators, members of the Institute of Translational Science, which focuses on bench to bedside research education, and participate in training pre-doctoral students enrolled in PhD or MD/PhD programs.
Our research program spans from molecular biology to clinical trials and provides the ideal support both for an outstanding educational program for our trainees and state of the art clinical care for our patients. Our endocrinology fellowship program integrates extensive clinical experience both inpatient and outpatient with outstanding opportunities for both bench and clinical research. I would like to encourage you visit of our entire website for more detailed information on the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at UTMB.
The UTMB Center for Global Health Education (CGHE) is dedicated to the training of tomorrow's global health work force to improve health for the people of Texas and around the world. Check out their website for more information on the global health programs and education going on in our department.
