The canopy at the main entrance to John Sealy Hospital is scheduled to get a facelift to start the new year. Crews will be adding fresh paint and new lighted lettering displaying “John Sealy Hospital” over the entrance. Some minor temporary detours for pedestrians and vehicles may be possible in the area. For your safety, please exercise caution.
Work is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Jan. 2, and be completed by Jan. 12.
The canopy work complements the concourse project taking place just beyond the hospital entrance; that larger project is designed to help visitors find their way, shorten walking distances, provide a pleasant environment and add features to minimize flood damage.
